This weekend will see the Hanwood side travel to Wagga to take on Tumut Eagles on Sunday afternoon, looking to maintain their undefeated start to the season.
Bertolin knows his side have to be on their guard against a side that has proven to be a hurdle in the recent past.
"We had trouble with them last year, and we had to win that game to get second place, and we were down 3-0 after 15 minutes and ended up getting a draw out of it, but it cost us a top-two spot," he said.
"We go into the game underestimating them at our peril."
The Hanwood side hasn't conceded a goal in the first 270 minutes of the season, and in a statement that could alarm clubs around Wagga, Bertolin feels his side has more to offer.
"Someone is going to score sooner or later. We are happy with the way things are going," he said.
"There are still some things to work on, and I think if I had to rate last weekend's performance, it was probably a 6 out of 10 from where I want it to be.
"There is still a lot to gain out of every game that we are going into.
"I think we were pretty poor in the first half, and I think Leeton should have been ahead at halftime, to be fair.
"We came out in the second half and changed a few things up with a few player changes and positions as well, which worked, which was good, but there is still a lot to get better at. I don't think we are a finished product by any stretch."

The top of the table side will make the trip over to Wagga at almost full strength, with Bertolin say there will only be one absentee.
"There were a few sore bodies but no injuries to speak of," he said.
"The only one we will probably have missing is Joey, who will miss the next two games due to work commitments."
