The supply of stock increased by 148 head to 1171 at Warwick. Export buyer attendance was not as good as the previous sale with one major exporter absent from the buying panel. However the usual feeder buyers were in attendance and active, and the line-up of restocker buyers included a number of NSW operators. Vealer heifers to interstate buyers lifted by 20c/kg. Light weight yearling steers also received very strong support. Yearling steers to feed for the domestic market averaged 7c dearer, and over 20c/kg on some small samples. The trend of a stronger feeder market also flowed on to the medium weight yearling heifers. The improved quality lineup of heavy grown steers and bullocks averaged 9c to 19c/kg better. The top end quality cows averaged 12c/kg cheaper, however the remainder of the cows sold to very solid demand from processors as well as restockers.
