Apparently, the high humidity doesn't have much effect on the flight of the ball, just on our bodies.
Given all that, our intrepid women golfers have generally been struggling to get good scores recently. Not so Susan Tyrell, who won division 1 with 41 pts on January 22, nor runner up Yvonne Couper with 36 pts.
It was a different story in division 2, with Shirley Carter winning from Cherie Eade (both 26 pts).
A field of 17 on Australia Day saw Donna Dosseter (32 pts) take out division 1 from Dorian Radue, while Cherie Eade (34 and best dressed for Australia Day) won division 2 from Marlene O'Connell (32 pts).

With rain forecast and very high humidity, only 10 women competed on January 29. Only Liz Graham (31 pts) got more than 28 pts, with runner up Donna Dossetor (28) in division 1, and Dulcie Knight (28 pts) won division 2 from Susan Tyrell (28 pts).
