After receiving a penalty 12 metres out, the Rankins Springs side decided to put pressure on the scoreboard, and Di Reid gave her side a two-point lead.
The lead was short-lived, however, as the quick-thinking Ua Ravu was able to throw a looping cut-out pass which found Lexi Heath. With space ahead of her, Heath was able to make a 30-metre break before barging her way over and give the Rabbits a 4-2 lead.
The lead was doubled soon after as Jessie Burns was able to push her way through the line and get the ball down, and a successful conversion from Ravu saw the lead out to eight points.
The Rabbits were able to put one hand on the trophy when Ravu was able to put in a grubber kick which got in behind the Dragons line, and she regathered to score right on the halftime siren and give her side a 14-2 lead at the break.

Needing to hit back quickly, the Dragons were able to score first after the break as Kenesha Stevens was able to spin out of the reach of the Goolgowi defence and reduce the margin to 12 points.
The Rankins Springs side was pushing hard as they needed to be the next to score. However, despite a number of sets down the right end of the field, they were unable to break open the Rabbits defence.
The Rabbitohs were able to put the game to bed with Mel Foschi racing 70 metres to score under the post just as the final siren blew.
