Some run has returned on the course, reflected by the scores.
Brett Angel 67 nett won A Grade, firing 78 off the stick, carding 11 pars, coming home in two over par 37, which enabled him to take the countback over Tony McBride also on 67 nett, draining a birdie on the first.
Alf Franchi 69 nett won B Grade, 84 off the stick, nailing a birdie on the 17th, also on a countback over Warren Bock 69 nett, 85 scratch, carding a birdie on the 2nd.
Michael Turnell 66 nett best in C Grade, nailing birdies on the 1st, and 7th, 91 off the stick. Trent McFadzean 67 nett, runner-up, shooting 87 with six pars.
Col Vearing won the 4th. pin, Tiuru Phillip 8th, Rob Trembath 11th, Max Turner 15th, Andy Arnold 16th. Vouchers went to 74 nett.
Another solid field of 55 players contested Sunday single stableford.
Steve Matheson 41 points, took out A Grade, Wayne Tyndall 37 points runner-up.
Trent McFadzean 38 points best in B Grade over Llisoni Koroi 36 points runner-up.
Promising junior Blake Millis looks to be a star of the future, though losing a number of shots following his score last week, showed it was no fluke, again taking out C Grade with 39 points. He has the genes of his father, who plays off single figures. Wayne Salvestro second 36 points.
Koroi won the 4th pin, Solonika Dolonga 7th, Spenser Jeffery 11th, Darren Forrester 16th. Vouchers to 33 points.

The veterans played a reverse Irish 4 BBB with 31 players.
Winners were Alan King, Bob Trembath, Ray Mead and Graeme Bamford on 109 points on a countback over Graham Sibraa,Cam Woodside, Peter DenHouting, Byron James 109 points. In third place with 97 points were Peter Henderson, Byron James, John Gale.

The First Round of the Handiskins is on this coming Saturday, August 14, with a one-off entry of $35 for the six rounds. All information from the Pro Shop.
Players should be aware that cups are attached to the pins on the greens so you can lift your ball out of the cups.
