Griffith, Yenda and Leeton Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to Snaith Place in Pioneer at about 6:45pm on Tuesday, where a fire was already well alight, having burst through the roof of a house.
The building was unoccupied and fire crews managed to extinguish the blaze, however the home ultimately suffered significant damage.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the fire, which was the fifth in seven days for Griffith, after crews responded to blazes at McNabb Crescent, Nericon, Davidson Place and Heath Crescent.
A 40-year-old man has been charged with lighting the Davidson Place fire, however police say he is not connected with the other blazes, which they are currently investigating.
