A different story this week with 43 starters, some cracking paces on a perfect track.
Stage 1 of the Tour de Hill Surfer competition resulted in Andrea Cromack (long course) and Harry Morshead (short course) receiving 40 first place points and hence they wore the "Yellow Cap" for Stage 2 Tour de Hill Surfer competition.
Ella Savage is showing confidence with her foray into the Long Course and took line honours, ahead of Allan Jones who was fast approaching, and Hamish Gunn who was even faster approaching.
At 4th Louise Gunn has been up-and-down but generally on the up, Tom Mackerras ran very well for 5th, and Andrea Cromack ran one of her quickest and scored enough points at 6th to retain the early point score lead and will again wear the "Yellow Cap" into Stage 3 Tour de Hill Surfer competition.

Aidan Fattore and Mia Stockwell were fastest at 9th and 15th
Andrew Moore in the Short Course is continuing his meteoric rise and snaffled 1st, Ryan Taylor ran his best ever for 2nd and seems keen to go on with it, while Harry Morshead was determined to retain his "Yellow Cap" with his 3rd place, and his fastest pace yet ... ah, such is what the cool weather can incite!
Isabella Salmon was 4th! Nate Mingay and Charlotte Hill were fastest at 6th and 16th, and Jim Salvestro, Peggy Carpenter and Tania Moore were the pride of the oldies.
Further back, Sharon Gavin is edging up the finish list with improved times and leaving most of her walking mates behind, Stephen Moore made a welcome return from two years AWOL, and Lachlan Date made sure everyone else was home safely with his long last ... must be a story there.
