Having suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend, the under 13s were able to get back to their winning ways with a 2-1 victory.
The visitors were able to take the lead in the 12th minute when Angelo Licastro found the back of the net, but the lead was short-lived, with Belconnen equalising six minutes later, and it looked like it would remain at 1-1 heading into the break.
That was until Kobe Ellis struck in added time of the first half to give the Griffith side a 2-1 lead.
The Griffith side was able to hold onto that margin until the final whistle to see them maintain their five-point lead over second-placed Canberra Olympic.
The under 14s were able to stay in touch with the top four after they picked up a 1-1 draw.
Sebastian Patane found the back of the net in the first half, as did the Belconnen side, and that would be how it would stand in the second half, which sees fourth-placed United stay a win ahead of Griffith.
