The field included 16 players in the Lowes Petroleum match play. Brad Hammond 38 points won A Grade, carding 20 points out with six pars, 18 home with another four pars on a countback over Graham Richens. Richens looked a winner after carding 22 points out, nailing birdies on the 2nd and 8th, only to crash to 16 points on the back nine.
Jim Dickie 36 points was best in B Grade, carding 18 points on each nine, nailing a birdie on the 15th, on a countback over Kevin Bellew who also scored 18 points on both nines but lost the protracted countback.
The C Grade winner, Bill Brown, looked anything but, after scrambling 14 points out, though carding a four-point par on the 4th, then carded five three-pointers on the back nine to cruise home with 20 points to total 34 points. Runner-up Keith Woodbridge 33 points, also only managing 14 points out, recovered for 19 home on a countback over Steve Crowe and Chris Forwood.
Ian Arstall won the 4th pin, Wayne Alpen 7th, Graham Richens 8th, Jason Magoci 11th, Toby Maher 15th, John Badoco 16th.
There were 57 players in Sunday's medley single stableford, and ladies icon Elizabeth Graham showed her class, winning A Grade carding 38 points, firing 83 off the stick. She won on a countback over Col Vearing.
Good scores in B Grade, David Kidd 40 points taking the win on a countback over John F. Gale. Skeet Milne 38 points was best in C Grade over Roy J. Calabria 37 points. Jim Dickie had an Eagle Three on the 5th, Rob Lee won the 7th, Shane Hill 15th.
The Riverina Left-Handers also played around on Sunday, with 23 players turning out. Results pending.
The WRDGA is again appealing to golfers to support Golf Club Opens, with again very few numbers contesting the Deni Open.
Players in the Lowes Petroleum 4 Ball Match Play are reminded the First Round matches to be completed by Sunday, June 5.

Today's event is a single stableford, Saturday a single stroke for the June monthly medal and a medley single stableford on Sunday.
The veterans played a single stableford last Thursday with 27 players in two grades. Graham Sibraa 33 points won Div.1 ahead of Michael Catanzariti 32 points on a countback over Peter Henderson. Cam Woodside 33 points best in Div.2 on a countback over Graeme Gifford, Peter Den Houting and Allan King. Gerry Cox won both the 4th and 11th pins, Graham Sibraa 16th.
Another single stableford this week, also the First Round of the Winter Cup. Results of last Wednesday's single stableford with 31 players in two grades.
Garry Hartnett 36 points won Div.1 from Terry Bennett 35 points, on a countback over Jason Magoci. Graeme Gifford 35 points won Div.2, John Wallace 33 points second over Michael Gaffey and Nathan Wiscombe. Terry Bennett won the Pro Pin.
