Yenda Indoor Carpet Bowls recently held its annual Indoor Carpet Bowls Tournament on the 1st /2nd May at the Yenda Memorial Hall with teams travelling from Melbourne, Albury, Cowra, Bathurst, Young, Echuca, Moama, Leeton and Griffith.

After having to cancel our tournament last year due to Covid, it was great to have bowlers back on the mats and enjoying the competition.
Saturday night dinner was a huge success with everyone enjoying the entertainment and singalong by Louie Forner.
Teams played seven games of nine ends, four on Saturday and three on Sunday, competition was hard fought and in good spirit, for the prize pool of $2250.00.

The eventual winners were 1st Joe D`Aquino Griffith, $1200, 2nd Ida Oliver Leeton, $600, 3rd Darell Jones Albury $300, 4th Thelma Roberts Young $150. A Novelty prize of a bottle of Berton wine and a block of chocolate was awarded to Ron Mansfield team Melbourne as an encouragement prize.
