After picking up a 2-1 win in the opening round, coach Luke Santolin knows that there is still work that needs to be done.
"We saw flashes of what we are capable of," he said.
"Those swift team moves where we go from one side of the field to the other, but we weren't as consistent as we would have liked.
"We read the headline last week that called it a scrappy win, and we all agreed that Yoogali Soccer Club doesn't want to be referred to as scrappy, so that is on us to improve."
The Knights are coming into the game off the back of a 2-0 win over Wagga City Wanderers, and Santolin knows his side will be in for a tough test.
"O'Connor is one of the more ambitious clubs in the competition, and the players are on big money, and most of the people in Canberra are tipping O'Connor to win due to the way that they have reinforced their squad," he said.
"Make no mistake, we are preparing for a big battle this weekend."
While the Yoogali squad is nursing a bit of soreness, Santolin doesn't feel that there was anything serious to come out of the round one clash.
"There was a bit of general soreness because we haven't had a lot of matches, and it was a soft ground, so a lot of boys pulled up a bit sore," he said.
Meanwhile, Yoogali also found out who they will be facing in the next round of the FFA Cup preliminary rounds after the draw was held on Wednesday afternoon.

Having gotten to the next stage after a forfeit win over UC Stars, Yoogali was fortunate enough to draw a home clash with Tuggeranong United.
"We are due a bit of luck, and obviously, a home game makes it easier for all of our players to be available," he said.
"We would have travelled to Canberra, and we would have fulfilled our obligations had we been drawn away, but thankfully, we get the opportunity to play an NPL1 team in front of our home crowd."
Santolin feels it will be a great test for the side to take on aside from the higher division.
"We get a home game, and we get to play an opponent in the next level up, which is special," he said.
"Yes, it might have been slightly easier to play an NPL2 side, but we are going to play them plenty of times, so in terms of the growth of our club, we are able to push ourselves and see where we are at is super exciting.
"To us, it is a win-win."
The clash will be played between April 27 - May 6.
