Back on track with a 9am roll up Hay left home in the dark to Leeton. At this stage, we were expecting a very good match with Leeton, and we weren't disappointed.

It took Paul Lenon and Co on rink 13, 6 ends before they scored at 2 to 12, by the 16th ends they were still down 13 to 23, finishing up 17 to 25. Beat by 8 shots and winning only 8 of 21 ends, they struggled all day.
On rink 12, Hayden Marlin won the first and third ends and didn't score again until the 10th end but down 5 to 17. After the 19th end, they fought back gallantly at 18 all but conceded six shots in the last two ends losing 18 to 24.
On rink 11 between Jim Ovens and Bill Everett was the match of the day, tit for tat until the 13th end at 13 all, after that they were, L&D 17 Hay 18 on the 17th end, but with a much-deserved win Phill Ruddick, (Super Sub) Greg Stewart, John Lucas and Jim Ovens ran away winning 23 to 18.

Overall, Hay lost 58 shots to 67. Scoring 1 point again and, yes, going home with tail between legs again.
We would like to thank the L&D for the sausage sizzle supplied after the game, this was very much appreciated. Overall there were only 3 ends the difference. Next week we are at home against Narrandera 3's. I am led to believe that this will commence at 9am also.
