After a year of frustration and challenges in 2020, Aduny Takele released his first official music video clip Bluffin' January 7 and while he's thrilled with the result, it hasn't been an easy road.
"I've been sitting on this song for about a year. I went through many trials where I felt like I had to fix it again and again until at one point I even gave up on it," Mr Takele said.
"I scrapped it and thought the song wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be.
"I ended up going back through my files a couple of months after and then I thought to try to mix it up and see if it works again."
Bluffin' was shot in Melbourne where Mr Takele now calls home after leaving Griffith in 2019 to commit himself to his music. It is a dedication to his supporters, his family and friends that have pushed him along the way to be where he is now, a part that Griffith has played a major role.
"Griffith is where I first started rapping," he said.
"The reason I feel like I'm so good at the music I make is because I've had the background of acoustic instruments from Ben Ceccato. He was my mentor basically."
With interest coming at him from all areas in the industry to collaborate and make more music, Mr Takele says he has big news for his Griffith fans and supporters.
"I have a lot in store for 2021. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I should be releasing audio as well as another music video," he said.
"I have a big surprise for Griffith there's going to be a show somewhere between November and December and one of the music videos we're doing in the next couple of months we're going to be shooting in Griffith so hopefully we can get the whole town out."
Bluffin' was directed by Zac Harris and produced by Danny Kahli and is available at all major streaming services or at Mr Takele's YouTube channel. To keep updated with his plans for 2021 keep an eye on his Instagram.
