The Hanwood side has done it the long way with victories over Young and Henwood Park in the last two weeks and will be looking to finish the job this weekend when they face off with their rivals who are in their first first-grade final in 16 years.
After a tough 1-1 draw against United earlier in the season on a cold, wet day in Leeton, Agresta is expecting another tough hit out this weekend.
"It is a grand final so both teams will be going in pretty hard and you don't know looking at this weather forecast," he said.
"It could be similar conditions to last time we played them. I don't expect that there will be much in it."
The defensive side of Hanwood has shone through in recent weeks with two clean sheets in their previous two finals games, and Agresta was pleased to see their work paying off.
"It has been a pretty focus heading into the Young game, we worked a fair bit on it," he said.
"To be able to keep the two clean sheets in the last two games has been really pleasing."
With the firepower that Leeton has at their disposal, the Hanwood coach knows his defence will have to be at the top of their game.
"They have some pretty good strike power upfront with the two Gardiner boys and Raso (Adam) in particular," he said.
"I thought when he (Raso) came on in the second half in the last game against them, he turned the game in their favour. He is one that we are going to have to be careful of.
"Our focus has been on team defence, so if we get that right, hopefully, we can limit their opportunities."
While there would normally be plenty of pressure on the side looking to defend their title, Agresta feels that with the turnover the squad has had it is an achievement just to be in this position.
"I'm not saying that we aren't going out there to win it," he said.
"We have said all along we want to give it our best to defend the title and we are there now, so we are going to do everything in our power defend it.
"Looking at our squad and the turnover from last year it is an achievement for us to get there this year."
The first-grade game will kick off at McDonald Park in Wagga at around 4.45pm with the game set to be live-streamed on the Football Wagga Facebook page.
