Exies Eagles were able to make a strong start to their season with a six-wicket win over Coro Cougars after passing the total with four balls remaining.
The Cougars won the toss and elected to bat however they lost the wicket of Harrison Steele (4) early when he was caught off the bowling of Jacob Testoni.
Ben Signor and Mark Bennett tried to get their side moving forward, however with the score on 30, Signor (18) was dismissed by Billy Evans (1/7).
Bennett (19) and Jake Rand (23) moved their side past the 50 mark with a 37-run stand ended by Zachery Dart (1/9).
Rand followed closely behind, but some late runs from Cooper Rand (10*) and Thomas Camm (8) saw their side reach 6/95 at the end of their 20 overs.
Joseph Bellicanta pulled off a run out to dismiss Dart (0) to put the pressure on the Eagles before a 33-run partnership between James Roche and Evans got their side moving in the right direction.
Jake Rand (1/10) picked up the wicket of Evans (15), but Roche and Taine Moraschi were able to push their side to within six runs of victory before Signor (2/7) picked up the wicket of Roche (37) and Moraschi (24).
Aiden Ashcroft (2*) was able to help his side over the line to take the points.
Meanwhile, in the other games, Coleambally defeated Hanwood by four runs while Leagues defeated Exies Diggers.
