Another two big days of competition at the Griffith Golf Club last weekend which included the Men's Foursomes Championship, an honour board event on Sunday.

Played over 18 holes this year, which saw the cream rise to the top when the Clubs two top golfers, Matt Staines and Josh Stepleton combine to shoot par and easily claim the title.
They went out in one under par 35, carding birdies on the 2nd and 8th though they birdied the 15th on the back nine, bogies on the 14th and 18th, robbed them of a sub-par round.
In a twist, they had to add 1 1/2 shots to their score in the handicap which was won by Aaron Webb and Anthony Ross on 75 nett. Staines and Stapleton was not eligible to win the handicap.
There was a single stableford in conjunction.
Jason Magoci 36 points won A Grade on a countback over Andrew Romagnolo 36 points on a countback over Sim Tuitivake and Peter Gill.
Andrew Kidd 37 points best in B Grade, Geoff Cotterill 34 points second.
Helen Bourne 34 points won C Grade, Skeet Milne runner-up on 33 points on a countback over Steve Powell 33 points.
Vouchers went to 30 points.
There were 88 players contesting a 4 BBB Stableford last Saturday.
Ryan Grieve and Roy Calabria combined for a winning card of 48 points.
Grieve carded four-point pars on the 4th, 5th and 11th.
Runners-up Matt Rumming and Sam Ranney 47 points, Rumming nailed a birdie on the 7th. Ranney birdied 9th, 16th and 17th.
Graeme Trevett and Ian Carney filled in third place with 46 points, Carney birdied the 8th, Trevett the 14th on a countback over David Kidd and Allan Andreazza 46 points. Andreazza birdied the 5th.
Vouchers to 41 points.
Golfers are advised that due to green renovations, the course will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, September 21st and 22nd. It will not affect any of the Club competitions.
The Rod McNabb Caltex 5's will be starting again on Monday, October 5th.

With the start of the event, the Clubhouse will also open on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons.
Today and Saturday men's events are single stablefords with a Medley Versus Par on Sunday.
Senior, Ladies and Junior clinics continue.
The veterans a single stableford last Thursday with 32 players in two grades.
Geoff Smith 39 points won Div. 1, Joe Cudmore 37 points runner-up. Keith Woodbridge 37 points best in Div.2 on a countback over Allan King 37 points.
Vouchers went to 28 points.
Another medley single stableford this week.
There were 48 players in last Wednesdays single stroke.
Brett Polkinghorne 67 nett won A Grade, Jason Magoci 69 nett, firing par 71.
Nick Viasoff 66 nett best in B Grade, Shane Gaffey 70 nett runner-up.
Cec Spence 69 nett won C Grade over Jorge Wood 70 nett.
Vouchers went to 76 nett.
