On Friday, paramedics were called around 3pm as a young male, 9, was unresponsive after he was pulled from the water.
GRALC staff performed CPR before paramedics took over.
The boy was taken from GRALC to Griffith Base Hospital and then flown to Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick on Friday evening.
He was in a critical condition and on Sunday, the boy's life support was turned off.
The aquatic centre was closed early on Friday as police examined the scene and spoke to staff, before it was re-opened on Saturday.
Police investigations into the circumstances of the incident are continuing.
GRALC staff have been offered counselling.
