Creating food hampers for disadvantaged members of the community, it came as no surprise that the team secured the award once again.
In 2021, Hampers of Hope were also named state Environmental Citizen of the Year for all of NSW in recognition of the amazing work they do in the Griffith community.
Hampers of Hope Coordinator Tennille Valensisi said that it was 'really nice' to win the award once again.
"We rescue food from local supermarkets that are no longer able to be sold and have been taken off shelves and rescue, putting it in food hampers to deliver to those in need in the local community," Mrs Valensisi said.
"Winning the award once more is very humbling."

On average, the team put together and deliver an impressive 180 hampers per week that are delivered across Griffith and surrounding suburbs.
Colleague Kim Mecham said the award nomination and subsequent win was 'very humbling'.
"It is nice to be recognised for all the hard work that we do," Mrs Mecham said.
"We really would like to say a big thankyou to all the people in the community who thought of us and think we deserve such wonderful recognition."
