The former Kiwi pacer hasn't been beaten since coming across the Tasman a couple of months ago, with three wins at the Riverina Paceway backed up with a big win at West Wyalong and then victory in his Griffith Cup heat.

And it was a pretty convincing win in the $14,280 feature over 2150m to make it six straight, which is a first for Narrandera trainer Ellen Bartley.

It was also the second straight Cup for Bartley after taking out the 2020 event with Forever Yin, and she also claimed the 2015 event as a driver when steering Rustys Reject to the win.

Bartley was thrilled to see Nerano make it six-in-a-row since crossing the ditch.

"If they all come out and win six in a row, everyone would be doing it, but yea, we are really happy with him," she said.

While the Narrandera-based trainer had some nerves, she paid credit to the work of Blake Jones.

"Blake drove him really well," he said.

"I got a bit nervous because he was pulling a bit, but he was still able to get the job done."

Nerano was able to take the race by seven metres over Are Doubleyou, trained by Euroley-based David Kennedy.

It wasn't the only win for Bartley on the night with Baker Creek, who backed up a win in West Wyalong last weekend. It was a tight race, with the Bartley-trained trotter taking race three by just 1.10m.

Leeton's Stewart Richards took out race one with Prima Donna, while Coolamon's Liam Armstrong took out race two with Kickatinalongpony.

Jones finished the night with four winning drives with Arties Dime and Girls Love Perals taking out races six and seven, respectively.
