Rogerson has been a president of the Griffith Swans Junior Club before making the step up to becoming an active leader in the senior club this season. While still remaining actively involved in the junior club to allow the progression of others into roles, he has become the assistant coach of the Swans, successful under 17.5s side.

The award for Rogerson came as no surprise to Swans club president Jeff Harris.

"He is genuinely passionate about footy and the Swans, he is a fantastic asset to our club," he said.

"I think he has a lot of respect across the footy community. He has been involved in it for many years, and he is one who normally makes decisions based on good ethics and values.

"He is always happy to go above and beyond if it is in the best interest of the footy and netball club. He likes to get the hands dirty and get things done, so he is a great person to have."

Rogerson was modest when asked how he felt about receiving the award on Monday night.

"There are a lot of people who do a lot for the club, and Jeff (Harris) is an example of this," he said.

"I'm just a part of the team that gets the club moving."

It was a good night for the Swans with Henry Delves selected in the RFNL Football Team of the Season while Georgia Fuller, Jess Conlan and Jenna Richards picked in the netball side with Fuller also named coach.
