Over the week, students will be virtually visiting Canberra's most notable museums, galleries and landmarks. These will include the Australian War Memorial, Old Parliament House and of course, Questacon.
The virtual pilgrimage has been put together by the NSW Department of Education's Distance and Rural Technology team, or DART. The team is located in Dubbo and specialises in regional and remote students, but has expanded it's coverage while students everywhere are pushed to study remotely.

Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell was pleased to see the program succeeding.
"The pandemic has caused students to miss out on a lot, a trip to Canberra is a staple for students. I'm so happy NSW is in a position to use technology to transport students from their homes to Canberra for a week of learning and fun," she said.
"They have opened their virtual doors to students with a series of fun live events that greatly enrich the learning from home activities being delivered by parents and teachers," Ms Mitchell said.
Lisa Turner from Griffith East Public School said that they were fortunate enough to schedule their Canberra trip early in the year.
"We were lucky enough to get in our Canberra excursion. We did that in term 1 or 2 when we were still able to do things, we were very lucky," she said. She added that the trip was always a big hit with students, and was a valuable learning opportunity.
Justin Dawson from Lake Wyangan Public School confirmed that they had been participating in the program.
"They couldn't go to Canberra, so they've been making up for it the only way they can. They've still got something, which is nice."
While many schools will be running the livestreams themselves, parents and teachers can register individual students for the last few events of the week at the DART Learning website.
