An email was sent to clubs on Monday confirming all Riverina League matches - and potentially the Farrer League's qualifying final between East Wagga Kooringal and The Rock-Yerong Creek - have been rescheduled to this Sunday as the best case scenario.

Should lockdown be extended, the next contingency plan would involve pushing the start of the Farrer League finals back a week, but retaining the same format. If that scenario unfolds the Riverina League's final round would be cancelled, with finals to begin next weekend as planned.

It has also been confirmed Sunday's cancelled clashes between Coolamon and Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong won't be rescheduled.

AFL NSW-ACT's community football and competition manager - Southern NSW, Tom Walker, said they will target the best case scenario, which is playing matches this Sunday, before reverting to contingency plans should that be impossible.

"If we're able to play on Sunday, all Riverina League football and netball matches will proceed then. We've moved games from Saturday to Sunday, but feedback from clubs is they're happy to do that," he said.

"If Riverina Football Netball League matches aren't held this Sunday, they won't be rescheduled and we'll move straight into starting the finals series. At this stage, we don't envisage any changes to the top five format."

Farrer League clubs have been sent an email with three potential options to run the finals series, and have until midday on Tuesday to respond.

"We've given clubs some options in terms of how we proceed moving forward. One of those options is to play both our qualifying and elimination games on Sunday, if we're able to proceed after the lockdown currently in place," Walker said.

"If we're still locked down on Sunday, we'll look to other plans to finish off the season. Another option is to delay the start of finals by a week should be not be able to move forward this weekend.

"Other possibilities are on the table, but we'll wait on club feedback in regards to those options."
