Mathew Staines and Josh Stapleton will again have their names etched in gold following their resounding victory in the Griffith Laundry Services 4 Ball 36 Hole Stroke Championship at the Griffith Golf Club last weekend.

Staines plays off Plus 4, Stapleton scratch, so it was a brilliant effort on a wet course with no run, they carded 65 scratch on Saturday, 70 on Sunday for seven under par total 135.
Runners-up Jason Magoci and Col Vearing also scored well considering the conditions, carding 70-78-148.
Aaron Webb and Anthony Ross took out Handicap Section with scores of 62-64nett=126 with scratch scores of 75-76. from runners-up Chris Richards and Trent McFadzean 67-62-129 nett.
The event attracted 171 players over the two days.
The event on Saturday was a 4 BBB Stroke with 102 players.
Aaron Webb /Anthony Ross carded 62 nett to take the win, nailing a birdie on the 15th.on a countback over Justin Robertson and Brad Hammond 62 nett.
Peter Henderson and Kevin Bellew 63 nett finished in third place.
Jason Magoci won the 4th pin, Kevin Bellew 7th, Mathew Staines 8th, and 11th, Owen Stubbs 15th, Brett Polkinghorne 16th. Staines eagled the 15th.
Sundays event another 4 BBB Stroke with 69 players.
Dean Minato and Mitchell Howard combined to return the winning card of 61 nett. Chris Richards and Trent McFazdean 62 nett second and Jeff and Nathan Wiscombe 64 nett third on a countback over four other pairs.
Illisoni Koroi won the 7th pin, Danny Dossetor 15th.
With COVID changes that came into effect last Saturday at 6.00pm, the Club has had to effect some changes.
Competition golf will continue, the Club House will be closed.
Players should wear masks when entering the Pro Shop, with drinks available from the Pro Shop.
The outside chairs and tables can be used with social distancing.
Patrons must use the Service NSW App or sign in.
Newly appointed Club Pro Brad Wright commenced work last Monday June 28. Members are asked to make themselves known to him and welcome.

Today's event is a single stableford, Saturday as single stroke for July monthly medal,
Sunday Mixed Foursomes Championships with a single stableford in conjunction.
The veteran's competition was washed out last week but will resume this week, a single stableford and the First Round of the Winter Cup.
On Thursday, July 29, the veterans are holding a Bring a Friend day with a shotgun start at 9.30am, following a morning tea.
So vets are asked to think of someone they can invite.
The heavy downpour last week's resulted in one of the rare times the course was closed to play on Thursday and Friday.
However, 14 players donned their flippers to contest last Wednesdays single stableford won by Jeff Wiscombe 36 points Lee Kimball 35 points runner-up.
Alf Franchi, Roy Calabria, Steve Matheson, Tony McBride, James Browne won a voucher.
