Heading into the weekend, Chris Piva knew his side had to be on the lookout for Dubbo and Albury.
"We played Dubbo in our second game, and we drew 1-all with them, so that was a tough one, and we knew they were going to be, and we knew Albury is always tough," he said.
"We cruised through the game against Albury pretty comfortably."
The Griffith side was able to make a flying start on Saturday morning as they were able to pick up a 4-0 win over Shoalhaven and Districts and then back it up with a 4-1 win over Far South Coast.
They finished out the first day with a 1-1 draw with a strong Dubbo side to be sitting in third position on goal difference behind Dubbo.
It looked like it would be a tough start to the day with a clash with the unbeaten Albury Wodonga side, but we were able to pick up a 4-1 win.
The Griffith side was able to head into the final with plenty of confidence with a 14-0 win over Southern Tablelands.

It was a tough start to the final against Dubbo for the Griffith side, according to Piva, but he paid credit to the way his side were able to overcome the adversity.
"In the first 10 minutes, we found ourselves 2-0 down," he said.
"We had to restructure and change things around a bit and came away with a 5-2 win.
"They never dropped their heads at all. They were confident and positive and really put themselves to the test, and after we scored our first goal, we dominated the game."
It was that positive energy that made it impossible for Piva to pick out a top performer across the weekend.
"From our goalkeeper right through to our strikers, it was just a very good team effort," he said.
"I couldn't pick out any individuals because there just wasn't because everyone was just amazing."
Piva said it was an added joy for the youngsters to be able to celebrate the victory on home turf, which is an experience that doesn't happen too often.
