Amelia Lolotonga and Janiana Ravu scored two tries each to set the Blacks up for a 20-7 victory over the Wagga side.
Coach Lama Lolotonga was proud of the way his side performed against one of the leaders of the competition.
"I was very happy with our performance to come out on top," he said.
"There is still a lot of work to do, but I was proud of the girls.
"Ua's (Ravu) little sister JenJen scored two tries in her first game, so that was great for her.
"It great to be able to see the new girls come in and gel well with the old players. Also, the old girls coming to help the new girls, and I think slowly they are starting to believe in themselves."

Despite holding the Waratahs to just one try, Lolotonga still wants his side to be more clinical in defence.
"We will work on our defensive line but also working on our skills in attack and using our fast girls on the outside," he said.
This weekend will see the Blacks make the long trip east to take on Tumut, and Lolotonga is expecting a tough match-up.
"Tumut is always a tough team to face on their home ground," he said.
"Hopefully, everyone will be available to make the trip, but we will see how it goes."
The Tumut side will be coming into the game off the back, having started their season with a victory over the Phantoms.
