Podium placings are important for the records, but everyone who completed their particular course is a champion. For example: - Karen Penninga was wrapped when she cracked the 50-minute barrier, Simon Taylor wrote on Facebook "Order was restored, he (son) might towel me up in 3km jogs, but Ryan was left in the wake on the 8km walk this morning."
Other Facebook entries included: - "Perfect day for the Bacchus! Thank you to all the volunteers who organised and ran it".
