Deanna Bordin says the Griffith community has shown her there is "a light at the end of the tunnel".

"Along with my son Rodney, I would like to thank the community of Griffith for all the love, support and donations over the last few weeks after the tragedy of the house fire," Ms Bordin said.

Since the fire, Griffith residents have donated money and clothes to Ms Bordin and the Exies Eagles cricket club raised over $15,800 for her son Rodney.

Ms Bordin said "never in her wildest dreams" did she think so many people would show their support.

"Even people I don't know at all have wanted to give something," she said.

"It just makes me feel so thankful that there are people out there that are willing to help out when someone is going through such a tough time."

"A special thank you to Gary Tucker, manager of the Exies and Exies sporties clubs and the boys from my son's cricket team Griffith Exies Eagles for holding the fundraiser 'Runs for Rocket' which raised an amount I never thought possible."

"Also A&G Engineering, Leo Franco Motors, Biaida Poultry and Casella Wines for sponsoring the event."

"A big thank you to Sophie my youngest daughter for doing the Go Fund Me page and Griffith Post School Options for their support as well."

Ms Bordin said her and her son have found a new home to rent and move into.

"We've had a bit of time to grieve our losses but it's back to work and business as usual now."
