Griffith Base Hospital Auxiliary has announced the re-opening of the Griffith Hospital Kiosk and the arrival of new equipment for Griffith Base Hospital Maternity Unit.

Each year, the tireless efforts of volunteers and generous donations from the community, ensure that the Auxiliary is able to continue its good work, and assist the Hospital in obtaining equipment on their wish list.
The Griffith Hospital Auxiliary began in 1931 and raises funds through a range of activities including the hospital kiosk, the annual street stall, the spring luncheon and the yearly Christmas raffle.
Funds are used to purchase new equipment from Griffith Hospital's wish list such as recent supplies for the Maternity Ward as well as The Children's Ward including:
- Pediatric, Oculus Quest machine
- Oncology, Stretcher bed
- Maternity, Bladder Scan
- GS Core SU Scope
- Three Isolation Trolleys
"It has been an amazing effort by our 120 volunteers, who dedicate time each week to assist in the Kiosk, as well as helping in other fundraising events during the year," Mrs Ross, President of the Griffith Hospital said.
ALSO MAKING NEWS:
"We had interruptions to our usual fundraising activities last year due to Covid-19 Restrictions, but we still have managed to raise so much, including over $70 000 for a new ultrasound kiosk system due to arrive soon."
Since 2019 the Auxiliary is proud to announce that the total funds donated in excess of $200 000.
The Hospital Kiosk stocks a range of fruits, snacks, drinks, crafts and other home-made delights for patients, staff and visitors and is open Monday- Friday 9am - 4pm.
