The Coro Cougars has taken their revenge on their GDCA second grade Twenty20 final defeat to Coleambally as they headed to the Christmas break with a 147-run victory over the Nomads.

After the Cougars won the toss and elected to bat, they were able to make a flying start with Matt Signor and Jamie Bennett at the top of the order.
The experienced duo were able to put on 118 and Bennett (54) was able to post a fifty before Henry Lacey (1/14) had Bennett caught by Sam Breed while Cooper Smith (1/22) knocked over Dean Robertson (0).
Signor (49) fell just short of a fifty as Lachlan Foster (3/15) dismissed him, Teei Piawi (4) and Chris Sutton (0) in quick succession.
Angus Kennedy (16), Thomas Camm (15*) and Brett Crooks (18*) added some late runs as they reached the end of their 40 overs on 6/189.
Bennett (4/5) and Nick Witherspoon (4/18) were able to do a lot of early damage as the Nomads fell to 8/21.
Avinash Gurram (11) was the only Nomad to get a start before he was knocked over by Camm (1/8) as they were bowled out for 42.
In the Friday night game, Hanwood were able to take a 46-run win over Diggers.
Micheal Crosato (18) and Trevor Cowie (38) were able to make a strong start while Ryan McWhirter (28*) and an unbeaten half century to Jack Rowston (54*) set Hanwood up as they finished their 35 overs on 4/190.
Mark Favell (3/40) was the pick of the bowlers for Diggers.
Rocky Perre (25) and Mark Favell (19) were able to get their side off to a good start while Mick Duncan (15) was able to get a start but McWhirter (1/24) was able to make the crucial breakthrough.
Lance Gilbert (23) and Mark Butcher (16) gave their side a chance but Luke Catanzariti (3/14) ended their hopes as they reached the end of their overs on 9/144.
Exies Eagles rounded out the weekend with a nine-wicket win over Leagues.
Teao Woetai (14) was the only Panther to get a start with the bat after they won the toss and elected to bat with Cameron Harrison (3/11) and Dan Brady (2/10) doing the damage for the Eagles as the Leagues side were bowled out for 75.
Exies had little difficulty with Brady (41) leading the way while Sean Culgan (16*) and Travers Pickmere (7*) were able to pick up the nine-wicket win with 20.4 overs remaining.
