In the third round of matches in the 2020/21 season, the Scorchers and the Strikers played out the closest game of the round. The Scorchers finished as narrow winners 6/83 (ave 13.8) to the Strikers 8/89 (ave 11.1).

Josh Pentony led the way for the Scorchers hitting up 17 runs, Bill Barnard gave solid support with his 12 runs. Charlie Bunn led the Strikers bowling attack with a three wicket haul. Alec Brady was in top form with the bat knocking up 30 runs for the Strikers.
The main support came from Cooper Power who made 13. Toby Lasscock and Levi Plum both picked up two wickets for the Scorchers.
The Hurricanes score of 5/78 (ave 15.6) was a little too much for the Thunder to chase. They finished on 8/81 (ave 10). Vai Patel top scored for the Hurricanes with 14 and Varis Gill chipped in with 13. Andrew Maher was the Thunder's most successful bowler, picking up two wickets.
In the Thunder's innings, Josh Taprell knocked up 16, Cowen Wynne 14 and Jake Breen 11. Tytan Vasta and Via Patel were the Hurricanes top bowlers, capturing two wickets each.
The biggest score of the day was recorded by the Stars who knocked up an impressive score of 3/121. The Sixers responded with 9/80. Jake Suine had a big day belting 31 runs in his stay at the crease. Matthew Andrighetto and Luke Ramsey also got amongst the runs, scoring 23 and 22 respectively.
Ruby Kenny proved to be the Sixers best bowler taking two wickets. Jordy James again top scored for the Sixers with 12 runs. Xavier Hoffman helped the score along with 11 and Aaron Taprell eight. Luke Ramsey and Hunter Sibraa both proved hard to get away finishing with three wickets each.
This week's top cricketer is Luke Ramsay for his three wickets and 22 runs for the Stars.

SENIOR BINKS/TUCKER
Cummins batsmen laid the platform for a big win over Paine at Jubilee Park on Saturday morning. Fletcher Kelly took his batting to another level, scoring 38 runs out of Cummins score of 2/94.
Ted Files played his usual reliable innings of 21 and Dean Suine made 12. Isaac Hill with 1/11 and Austin Flack 1/13 were Paine's wicket takers. Paine replied with a score of 10/80.
Paine's innings featured an innings of 20 from Ben Virago, 12 from Austin Flack, 11 from Presely Young and 11 from Isaac Hill. Dean Suine and Ted Files wrecked the Paine's innings with their bowling which returned them figures of 4/16 each.
Smith's score of 6/108 was good enough to secure a win over Lyon who notched up 9/72. Brad Whitworth was again the backbone of the Smith innings with 24 runs. Daniel Mitchell made a solid 17 and Reif Leach added 15 to the score. Jaxsin Brown bowled steadily for Lyon to finish with 3/24.
Lyon's innings was again headed by Yash Rathi who made 23. Riley Sillis contributed a handy 15 to the Lyon score. Reif Leach and Brad Whitworth did some major damage to the Lyon innings with some tight bowling that yielded 3/6 and 2/7 respectively.
This week's award goes to Dean Suine for his treat bowling which gave him 4/16 and the 12 runs he made.
