The drink-driving accused has been arrested after allegedly travelling several kilometres across Albury with a smashed front end.
Police followed tyre marks on Friday night - until the rubber blew - then followed scrape marks.
The 44-year-old's ute hit an unknown item in Guinea Street, smashing the front left wheel and suspension.
The driver continued for about four kilometres with the locked wheel and the car stopped against a tree on the wrong side of Jacaranda Street.
He allegedly blew 0.197.
The Griffith man will face Albury Local Court on July 13.
