Daniel Camm and Christian Fisher-Godwin were both lucky enough to get stationed at one of their top preferences.
Constable Camm is a Griffith local, but says if anything knowing the community will be more of a help than a hindrance.
"I guess it's like any job really, I don't think it will be too bad."
While most would consider working Christmas day a drag, Constable Camm said he is looking forward to it.
"I don't really know what to expect, I'm going in blind, but this is my first Christmas as a cop so it will be something I will always remember."
Every job is a good job, nothing is too small. It is always big to the victim.

Spending the past two years here in Griffith, Constable Fisher-Godwin has been volunteering for the MIA Rural Fire Service in the State Mitigation Crew.
"It was always the goal to work in a rural area," he said.
"You get to do different things than you would in the city."
Both would enjoy the thrill of the big busts, but it was clear their reasoning behind becoming police was to keep the community safe.
"Every job is a good job, nothing is too small. It is always big to the victim," Constable Camm explained.
"I didn't have a real reason for joining, but I want to help the community, and keep them safe," Constable Fisher-Godwin added.
Murrumbidgee Police District Commander, Superintendent Craig Ireland said the allocation of these two new officers to the area will greatly increase capability.

"I am always pleased when additional police officers are assigned to our district and I look forward to welcoming our new recruits."
Southern Region Commander, Assistant Commissioner Joe Cassar APM, said the latest installment of 275 new police from the Police Academy in Goulburn for 2019-2020 will significantly increase the capability of police districts to combat crime.
"These officers will be assigned to front line operational positions and will make a real difference to their communities," Assistant Commissioner Joe Cassar said.
