Nature has denied Coro's Haydn Pascoe the chance to hit the first hundred of the GDCA season with the Cougars skipper left stranded on 95 when play was stopped on Saturday afternoon.

The Cougars were locked in a battle with Exies Diggers in the battle at the top of the table, and after winning the toss, Coro was on the back foot early with Dean Bennett (3) falling to Dean Villata (1/29).
Mitchell Williams-Hedges (3) fell to the bowling of Theo Valeri, but Haydn Pascoe and Rob Rand were able to get their side back on track.
The pair were able to put on 118 and got their side into a strong position before Valeri (2/32) claimed the wicket of Rand (32) and with Pascoe (95*) closing in on his milestone nature decided to intervene and with Coro on 3/152 after 28 overs play was unable to be resumed.
In the other first grade game, Exies were taking on Leagues.
The Panthers were able to pick up two quick wickets with Kierren Williams (3/24) doing the damage.
Aditha Jayasuriya and Phil Burge led the fightback for their side with a 103-run partnership before Ryan Greenaway (1/37) picked up Jayasuriya (41) while Connor Edenden (2/31) took the wicket of Burge.
Tom Spry (12) and Hayden Forner (13) kept the score ticking over before the stormy weather saw the game delayed and eventually called off with the Eagles sitting on 7/151 after 34.3 overs.
