The McGrath Foundation initiative was organised by Jessica Zandona this year, who credited the success of the event to the kind hearts of the MIA community.
"It's always good to see our community come together and raise awareness and funds for the McGrath Foundation," Ms Zandona said.
"People just jump on board, it's so heavily supported, and I'm just proud of everyone who pinked up."
Surplus to the $18,400 already raised, donations are still being made to the Griffith Real Estate office. Many of them thanks to the 'Tradies Help the Ladies' campaign which has been running all month.
Dean Hall, owner of DT and TR Hall Transport, has been a valued sponsor during the campaign this year. Many of his fleet vehicles are boasting numerous awareness stickers.
"There have been family and friends of mine who have been affected by it (breast cancer)," Mr Hall explained.
"It's really good to donate and do your part."
Many Pink Up events were held across the MIA during October, allowing everyone to play their part. Griffith Leagues Club hosted esteemed Australian pop-rock band Thirsty Merc, raising $7,672 in a swingle swoop for the McGrath Foundation and Griffith Breast Cancer Support Group.
Following the concert, there was 'Tee Off for Breast Cancer Trials,' which was run by Pat Pauling and her committee of good-hearted go-getters. Then, there was the 'Women and Wheels' workshop at Owen Toyota.
Finally a day of barefoot bowls at the Exies Sporting Club and a morning tea at Amcal Chemist saw the end of the pink parade.
"I think this year was a huge success," Jessica Zandona said.
"It's about raising awareness as much as it's about raising funds."
Thanks to the kind-hearted community members within the MIA, record funds were raised for a good cause which will make a positive impact.
