A lively crowd of 236 party-goers from as far afield as Sydney, Melbourne, and even the Gold Coast gathered in the community hall for a night of revelry.
AAA Fleece Committee chairwoman Holly Rennie said they were attempting to revive the spirit of the old B&S balls that used to be all the rage in Hillston back in the day.
Many of the attendees on the night were older partygoers who were part of the original B&S balls over three decades ago.
"All in all it was a great event that the community supported, and it allowed people to forget about the pressures of the drought for one night and enjoy each other's company," Miss Rennie said.
Partygoers danced the night away, and the following day there was a AAA Recovery party featuring a barbecue and live performances by local musicians.

Miss Rennie said the night had been a big undertaking that was only made possible by the support of local businesses.
The ball was supported by Mitolo Family Farms, Yenda producers co-operative, RWE, Ron Potter Farms, Rawlinson and Brown Hillston, Karalee, Sunland agriculture, Bendigo Bank Hillston, Riverview Farming, Thompson Aviation, The Club House hostel Hillston, A & G Engineering, Max Hutchison Transport and The Swans football Club Hillston.
All the money raised throughout the event will go towards a new palliative Car bed for Hillston's Lachlan Lodge nursing home.
The committee are considering whether or not to throw another AAA Fleece Ball in 2020.
