The Mallee Men opened the scoring with Aaron Duncan getting over the line before Sam Bartter was able to cross for the Roosters first try just three minutes later.
The try for try nature of the game continued with Robbie Simpson getting over the line in the 21st minute, but again the lead was short-lived with Cameron Miller scoring the answering try for the home side to see the teams locked at 12-all after 26 minutes.
Simpson scored his second try of the day with 10 minutes remaining before halftime, and the Roosters were able to hold the 18-12 lead at the break.
The Mallee Men didn't waste any time getting level in the second half with Tim Dore scoring his first try of the afternoon before Lou Goodwin gave his side the lead and from that point, the West Wyalong side was able to run away with the game.
Dore scored his second try for the day before two quick tries to Craig Iverach saw the Mallee Men secure the two points with a 22-point win.
The win sees West Wyalong stay in the hunt for the minor premiership with two games left, but they will need to win their remaining games and hope results fall their way. They travel to Yanco-Wamoon next weekend in a top of the table clash.
