A passionate advocate for local tourism has been appointed to the role of Griffith City Council Tourism Manager.

Born and bred in Griffith, Mirella Guidolin brings a wealth of home-grown knowledge to the position.
She has been employed by Council for 15 years, most recently as the Visitor Information Centre Coordinator.
Ms Guidolin attended high school in Griffith before moving to Canberra where she studied tourism.
“I am so grateful for this opportunity and I look forward to the challenge ahead,” Ms Guidolin said.
“My whole working life has been in tourism and over the years I’ve been fortunate to see what’s worked and what hasn’t.
“I feel honoured to be able to showcase to the rest of Australia the place I absolutely love.” Ms Guidolin said she is keen to take tourism in the region to the next level.
“We’ve got outstanding products and industry here in Griffith and it’s exciting to be a part of it,” Ms Guidolin said.
“I’m up for the challenge and look forward to working with everyone and listening to what they want.

“I’ve spent 15 years building up solid relationships with operators and staff and I feel like some of that hard work has paid off. I’m thrilled to be able to take this to the next level.”
Griffith City Council Director Economic and Organisational Development, Shireen Donaldson, said she was happy to have Ms Guidolin in the key position.
“Mirella has long been a passionate advocate of local tourism experiences and events promoting Griffith to our visitors and a staunch supporter of the tourism operators who provide visitor services in Griffith,” Mrs Donaldson said.
“Her infectious enthusiasm for Griffith and all the city has to offer visitors will take the Tourism department to the next level.”
