Hospital Business Manager Ian Woolfe was pleased and humbled to receive the donation from the stalwart City2Lake committee.
“We are very pleased with this generous donation,” Mr Woolfe said.
Griffith Base Hospital has been working with their new obstetrician and gynecologist since his arrival to purchase equipment which will improve the diagnoses of and outcomes for women in the region.
This new donation is set to go towards purchasing an ultrasound machine, enhancing the services provided at the hospital.
“We have managed to source a colposcope through donations in conjunction with the pioneers trust fund, United hospitals Auxiliary and ‘The Echoes’ reunion,” Mr Woolfe said.
“This donation from the City2Lake will go towards funding an ultrasound machine, which will complement that piece of equipment and improve diagnosis within the specialist clinic.”
