The diesel mechanic has been invited back as a judge after taking out last year’s Lady of the Day title.
Punters, jockeys and general racegoers will line up for fun both off and off the track.
Fashions on the field prizes are available across seven categories, with judging set to take place after race two.
Ms Muirhead said races offer something a little different from day-to-day life.
“I’m a diesel mechanic, so I don’t often get a chance to get out with the girls. I just like having a nice day out with some friends,” she said.

While the official rules and requirements for Fashions on the Field are available on the Jockey Club’s website, Ms Muirhead was able to reveal what catches her eye.
“I’ll be looking forward something pleasing to the eye, something classy and that reflects the personality of the entrant. I don’t mind bold colours and something that suit the figure,” she said.
She said she has entered six or seven Fashions on the Field competitions, taking out two Lady of the Day titles and two millinery awards.
“I was a really shy person. It brought out confidence within myself to go out and be proud of what I’d put together. You can get a group of friends together and step out for the day,” Ms Muirhead said.
“Even when you don’t win, it’s a great time to catch up with other people and meeting entrants. I’ve made a few other friends through fashions.”
This weekend continues the Cup’s resurgence in popularity. After trailing off in 2004, they were relaunched in 2009 at Narrandera to big success.
The Griffith Cup has been held at Dalton Park since 2010 – with around 2500 attending last year.
Saturday will feature a six-race card, set to be broadcast on Sky Two.
”The atmosphere is wonderful. The horses are great. It’s good for people to have a break from life or farming. It’s a relaxing, friendly, atmosphere.”
This year will also see Terra Ag Services come on board as major sponsor.
Complimentary free buses will depart Griffith Visitor’s Centre from 11.15am to 1.30pm and depart Dalton Park from 4pm.
The annual Terra Ag Griffith Cup will kick off on Saturday, September 8. Gates will open at 11.30am.
