Would-be thieves were left dusty handed, after attempting to steal coins from a vacuum machine at the car wash on Oakes Street on Wednesday night.

The unlucky burglars, driving a orange/red Holden Commodore Sedan, cut locks on the machine at around 10.30pm, hoping to hit the mother load of coins, however instead unlocked the dust bag section.
Malicious charges laid
A 20-year-old man has been charged with malicious damage after wrecking a shop window on Ulong Street.
It is alleged the man stood in the doorway of the business and punched a window, causing it to crack severely.
He was arrested and charged, and will face court at a later date.
House robbed
A Zirilli Street house was broken into between Monday ad Friday, and had a number of valuables stolen, including jewellery and computer equipment.
Plaque stolen
Between Friday August 3 and Sunday August 5, the Rotary Club’s bronze plaque in the nature strip between Woolworths and MacDonalds was stolen.
