“Over the past eight years I have been in the role this was the most skillful matches we have had in a long time, which reflects well on the school kids representing in AFL,” Mr Jenkins said.
“The quality has really gone up a notch, with the students embracing AFL and the AFL competition as a whole.”
Around 30 secondary school students from Griffith high schools umpired the matches on the day, taking advantage of the Southern NSW umpiring coordinator’s knowledge.
“It was great to see their involvement,” Mr Jenkins said.
