One 25 year-old-man was caught three and a half times the limit, with a blood-alcohol reading of 0.179 on Saturday on Wayeela Street.
He was also found with a prescription pill he had no referral for, and was charged with having a restricted substance in his possession.
He will appear before Griffith Local Court in six weeks.
Another 32 year-old man was also charged and had his licence suspended after returning a reading of 0.087 after being pulled over for a random breath test on Banna Avenue on Sunday.
Inspector Nick Seddon said operation Stay Alert commences midnight on Friday, finishing on Monday.
“Police will be out in numbers looking to reduce road trauma,” he said.
“We will be heavily monitoring back roads and highways. People travelling should remember to take adequate rest stops, as fatigue is a killer.”

Inspector Seddon said resident should be mindful of the Sikh Games held this weekend, and said police are looking forward to a great weekend.
“There will be many state and interstate visitors, so residents should be aware of resulting congestion, especially around Collina,” he said.
“Make sure you take the extra time to travel, be mindful or parking legally, and have consideration for the residents living in Collina.”
