Library Assistant Kate Crosato reads out stories each week to eager listeners to encourage a love for reading in young children, and often works in a craft element for the audience to participate in.
Ms Crosato spoke about today’s special Storytime event.
“Today we’re looking at trucks, diggers, and tractors,” Ms Crosato said.
Ms Crosato read out Dig Dig Digging written by Margaret Mayo and illustrated by Alex Ayliffe, and Little Blue Truck and Little Blue Truck Leads the Way, both written by Alice Shertle and illustrated by Jill McElmurry.

“We heard a couple of stories about the Little Blue Truck, and now the children are creating their own little blue trucks today, with movable parts.
“I just thought that the Little Blue Truck stories were cute, so I’ve made a craft around those stories.”
Griffith City Library is always encouraging children aged 0-5 to come by on Fridays to join in.
“We’d love more people to come to Storytime,” she said.
Griffith City Library holds a Storytime each Friday at 11am.
Next week for Storytime, Griffith City Library will be celebrating Italian Week.
