Have a walk-though tour with Griffith Community Centre’s Coordinator Barbara Penninga in our video below:
The open day was part of Neighbourhood Centre Week for 2018, happening from April 30 until May 6, with this year’s theme of ‘Belonging’.
It was a chance for Ms Penninga to show the community how they provide activities to build trusting relationships for all members of the community but particularly the most vulnerable.
“We had people come and we gave them a tour, and it was great to see them take advantage by talking to our hardworking and dedicated volunteers over tea and coffee,” Ms Penninga said.
Visitors were invited to paint their hands purple to put on a canvas, signifying everyone is in this community together.
