For some, it’s difficult to even know where to look.
A new resource from Griffith’s Neighbourhood house aims to make it easier.
The map, distributed in conjunction with Griffith Lions Club, gives a comprehensive list of services and facilities available in town.
Neighbourhood House's Barbara Penninga says the project is about giving all people the same access to information and resources.
“We have a website with all the service available in Griffith … everything that is in Griffith is available on our website, but we thought it wasn’t really equal access for new arrivals or people who don’t have access to the internet,” she said.
“This is our third edition. It’s six years in the making.”
It includes addresses and information on schools, community groups, local churches, as well as health and mental health services.
The back of the map shows a detailed map of the town, with addresses and contact information marked.

It’s printing was made possible through a community service grant by Griffith City Council.
Councillor Anne Napoli said it was great to see council grants benefiting the community in positive ways.
“This is exciting. It’s great to see where the community grants go to, hardworking organisations like our community centre here,” Cr Napoli said.
“It helps the whole of the community.”
The maps are being distributed with the Lions Club directories and will be made available at the Griffith information centre and library.
