SNAPSHOT OF ROUND FOUR OF THE A-LEAGUE MEN THEY SAID IT: "Ollie's nowhere near it at the moment so there's no point even talking about Ollie". Western Sydney Wanderers coach Marko Rudan has listed new recruit Oliver Bozanic as having recovered from a calf injury but said the seven-time Socceroo was still way off match fitness. MAN OF THE WEEK: Central Coast Mariners striker Jason Cummings not only put his hand up for a plane ticket to the World Cup in Qatar, he just about demanded a seat in first class. Cummings orchestrated a 20-minute skirmish in which the Mariners erased a 2-0 deficit to comfortably beat Western United 4-2. He scored the first goal and set the next three up to seal a famous comeback win. UNLIKELY HERO: Brisbane Roar substitute goalkeeper Macklin Freke came on in the 55th minute against Melbourne Victory when starting goalkeeper Jordan Holmes was sent off, and made several outstanding saves, including one from Nani, to keep the score 0-0. Roar coach Warren Moon revealed Freke had "played through the pain barrier" with a leg injury. BEAT THAT: Wellington young gun Sam Sutton scored a goal to remember to get the Phoenix back into their 2-2 draw with Melbourne City. A Wellington corner bobbled out to Sutton outside the area on the half-volley and he thumped his left foot through it, with his fizzing shot skidding through a diving Tom Glover's hands for a superb goal. STAT ATTACK: Melbourne Victory's 0-0 draw with Brisbane Roar marked the first time since rounds 24-26 in season 2016-2017 the ALM powerhouse had gone three straight league games without a goal. TALKING POINT: For the second time in as many weeks, Sydney FC were the beneficiaries of some contentious officiating, this time in the 3-2 win over Macarthur. The Sky Blues scored their first goal after a penalty in the box that Bulls coach Dwight Yorke believed "definitely" should not have been awarded. As was the case against Adelaide United last week, Sydney had an extra man for the entire second half thanks to a controversial red card: Jonathan Aspropotamitis was originally shown a yellow but for taking Patrick Wood out in the final third, but VAR upgraded his punishment to a red. UNDER PRESSURE: Last year's champions Western United sit at the bottom of the ladder having lost three of their first four games. Their only point came from a 1-1 draw with Macarthur and perhaps most alarmingly, John Aloisi's men have conceded 10 goals so far - the most of any side. UP NEXT: All three Melbourne teams are at AAMI Park. Victory welcome Newcastle, City take on Perth and Western United host Adelaide. Western Sydney and Central Coast's Saturday night clash should be a cracker, while Wellington and Brisbane will chase their first wins against Macarthur and Sydney FC respectively.
