To honour and thank the community for their contribution, Griffith Real Estate’s Brian Bertolin was to take part part of the very special unveiling of the Jane McGrath silk at the Pink Test at the SCG on Saturday.
The Pink Test aims to raise money for the McGrath foundation.
Mr Bertolin said he was honoured to be asked to participate in the event.
“It’s very exciting. It’s a very big day on the McGrath foundation. It’s an absolute honour,” he said.
“What our team and the town was able to raise for the foundation was great. This is the finishing off of last year’s fundraising.”

A group of volunteers carried the silk on to the field to honour the memory of Jane McGrath.
The foundation raises money to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses across the country. It was founded in 2008 by Jane McGrath.
The town raised over $85,000 for the McGrath foundation in a record-breaking year. The Pink Up Griffith initiative calls for local businesses to decorate themselves and put a call out for donations. The total surpassed Griffith’s previous best effort of $25,000 with ease.
Mr Bertolin said he hopes the community will continue to build on last year’s efforts.
“This year we’ll kick it all off again. We’ll get back into it and hope to raise even more money,” he said.
