The money will go towards funding breast cancer nurses in community, and raising awareness about breast cancer.
Two weeks ago, Griffith Real Estate announced the 2017 Pink Up Griffith month total was $75,000, but since then a further $10,000 has been raised.
Ms Bevan said she was blown away by what Griffith had achieved.
“If you look at such a big amount being raised by such a small community, it shows Griffith has a huge heart”.
Ms Bevan said she made a pledge to Jane McGrath, the late wife of former Australian cricketer Gleen McGrath, to carry on her work after Mrs McGrath died in 2008.
“I made a promise to Jane that I’d keep going with this until I see her again”.
“It;s an honour and a privilege to keep doing this work, they’ll have to carry me away in a pink coffin”.
Ms Bevan is is the ex-wife of Glenn McGrath’s former Australian cricket teammate Michael Bevan.
The total easily eclipses Griffith’s previous best effort – when $25,000 was raised in 2015.
It is hope the big effort by Griffith this year will make the care for more funding for the old breast cancer nurse currently in the MIA.
Fiona Shields currently works three days a week servicing Griffith, Leeton and surrounding areas.
Every October, Griffith turns itself pink, with GRE and the Griffith Cancer Council behind an initiative where businesses decorate themselves and their staff in pink, and call for donations. All money raised goes to the McGrath Foundation.
