Have you noticed that you or a loved one could do with some help around the home?
Is someone you know considering taking the next step and moving into an aged care facility?
Cypress View Lodge may be able to help you with these questions.
The organisation is based in Coleambally and has a 19 bed residential aged care facility and offers Home Care Packages in the communities and surrounds of Coleambally and Darlington Point.
As people choose to stay in their own home longer Cypress View is also expanding its home care package delivery and offering a greater range of services to people in their own home.
Experienced and qualified staff are waiting to help at home with personal care helping clients to achieve their wishes of staying in their own home for as long as possible.
Cypress View also employs experienced coordinators who can assist clients in managing their package and budget to get access to the services they need.
The facility is a beautiful small family facility located amongst the pines and kangaroos.
There are no direct neighbours to the facility making a peaceful country retreat offering the highest quality care.
Residents who choose to live here become members of the family.
Residents are invited to maintain their connections with the community and activities they enjoy.
This feature is supported by:
The recreation program at the facility includes a range of much loved activities such as Bingo, cards and crafts as well as outings, shopping days, gardening and looking after the facility pets.
Residents really love it when the staff get involved in events such as Olympic competitions and footy tipping.
Residents go on outings to such places at Altina Zoo which is loved by all.
The organisation has plans afoot to expand with a focus on dementia and palliative care.
The management board is working on a major project which will include a seven bed dementia specific ward to be included in the first stage.
It is hoped that if successful in accessing funding this stage will be completed within the next eighteen months.
Cypress View currently has vacancies at the facility for respite and permanent care as well as home care packages.
“Respite care is a great way of testing the waters,” facility manager Karen Hodgson said.
“I like to invite people to come, or bring their loved ones to have a holiday with us.
“Have the washing and cleaning done, meals cooked and care needs met and know that you are in a caring and safe home.”
