The Diggers outfit won the toss and elected to bat, but they were on the back foot early with three early wickets.
Josh Carn struck twice in the opening over to remove Paresh Patil (0) and Diggers captain Angus Boulton (0) in successive deliveries.
While Mick Duncan was able to see off the hat-trick delivery, he only lasted an over longer as Carn (3/15) knocked Duncan (16) over and had the Diggers side sitting on 3/22 after five overs.
Kyle Bennett and Josh Lanham were given the difficult task of trying to rebuild their side's innings from a precarious position.
The fourth-wicket pairing added 24 runs before Angus Bartter knocked over Bennett (13).
Eight runs later, Shayan (0) departed when he was trapped in front by Bartter (2/41), and from there, the Diggers side struggled to regain their fitting.
Rocky Perre (5), Lanham (15) and Ash Verhagen (0) were knocked over by Gulfam Ahmed (3/5) while Sam Robinson (2/7) dismissed Reece Maguire (2) and Craig Lugton (0) in successive deliveries to see Diggers bowled out for 68 inside 19 overs.
They often say that the smallest targets can be the hardest to chase down, and it looked like that could be the case as Tom Shannon's (0) first innings back at Hanwood lasted three balls after he was caught behind off the bowling of Shayan (1/26).
